Bookstore Buyback Policy

  • Book buyback takes place during finals week of fall and spring semesters.
  • Books that have been ordered by the instructors for the next semester and are needed for store inventory will be purchased at 50% of the selling price.
  • The titles and quantity of books needed for any given class varies each semester. Books not needed by the bookstore can be sold back to an out-of-state used book company through the bookstore.  They offer a wholesale price based on national demand for the book.
  • Damaged books or books in poor condition (including missing or loose pages, broken bindings, water damage, and excessive writing or highlighting) will not be accepted for buyback.
  • Some books may not qualify for buyback due to new editions, textbook changes, or expendable nature of the book. 

    Our policy is to buy every book we possibly can, offering you as much as we can.  We can't make promises to buy back every book we sell.  We hope the above information helps to explain how the buyback procedure works. Thank You.
